Bubblelicious Silhouette

Olivia is always a willing participant in my photographic experiments.  She usually goes with the flow, gives me ideas & sometimes she improves & it really works out.

This is a shot that I did the other way in an attempt to practice working on silhouette shots.

I took me about 25 tries but I think I nailed it.  I plan on practicing a bit more with this photo motif I picked up a new toy to kick up the bubbles a notch.

Stay tuned for some bubblelicious photos!

  • I like the pic actually. Hey...do you know any photographers in Chicago? I need some professional pictures taken for some promos.

  • if only you published full feeds, bygbaby, we'd be in business. love ur content, but with the tons of stuff I'm already on, it really is that hard to drop by and leave a comment unless it's in my Google reader ;-).

With all that said, your photography as usual is amazing, I am reading your stuff every so often even when I'm not commenting, and if you ever come through to NYC or me to Michigan, i'd have to ask you to hook me up with a photo.

    peace, sir.

  • Nice start. I always dig silhouette shots, though I don't know the details that go into making them. The bubbles make it even more fun.

  • DTW - Sorry I don't but Tamra may.

Jose - Got you covered. My RSS feed is at http://www.mindspill.bygbaby.com/rss.xml Bygbaby always has the bases covered!

And mos def on the photos. I will be back in NYC during Xmas.

    Tamra - Thx boo!!!

sdg1844 - They are actually simple to do. All you have to do is set your shutter speed high to capture the detail in the sky & that will automatically cause anything on the ground or sky that is not as bright to become black. For this example, my shutter speed was at 640 & my f/stop was at 4. Of course you can do the same thing by increasing your f/stop as well & setting your shutter speed accordingly.
