Photoshop World

I’m in Orlando for the 2008 Photoshop World conference. So far I have learned some new tricks that will improve my Photoshop experience, which means better workflow, & better finished products.

By the time I leave, I hope to be a damn whiz!

I was really hoping to get out & do some shooting around but it is not looking good :(. Everything is pretty far from where I am & the public transportation stops running early so I am stuck in a convention purgatory. Oh well, I guess I will survive.

While I am here, I have a standing date with my family so we can iChat before bed time. We did it for the first time last night & it was very fun.

So anyway, I will up in this bitch until the crack of dawn Saturday & will back in cold Michigan just in time to make it to me lock retightening appointment. Damn I hope there are no delays because my shit is like an afro with locks dangling.

  • Muslimahlocs - I am back, hair is tight as hell so no Photoshopping for a few days. LOL

    Darius - Make it happen!!! At the conference I say at least 80% of the attendees had Macs, we laughed at the others.

    Torrance - man I wish I knew days ago, I would have loved to get out & about! Next time.

    Tamra - Yeah, yeah, yeah!!! I may share but that shit ain't gonna be free LOL!!!

    Just kidding. ;-) Nah, I'd never expect it to be free--hell, you figure you spend your hard-earned money to attend, you sure as hell better keep some of those secrets to yourself!

    I have some pretty good books and training tools that I just have to sit down and go through when I have time. Nothing like actually physically going to a class or workshop though. I took a digital imaging class a while back, and because I didn't use Photoshop right away (about 2 years later), I lost it all. Hell, there is just so much you can do with it all!!!

    Believe it or not, it's amazing how many people I *still* have to convince that Photoshop is a friggin TOOL, and not a copout for taking bad photos. Sigh! Those types will never get it.

    You get the mags right? PU is pretty damned good. So is Photoshop Creative is good too.
