Nothing...::: Really:::...

Some people are excited about March Madness right now, but I’m excited about warmer March weather & the ability to get out & about to photograph a more colorful environment.

That's all!

  • Kewl! So you're into Bonsai's too?

  • Oh, and I'll probably post my other eclipse photo today or tomorrow. I'm happy with the results for the most part. And to think that I almost dumped them...

  • I'm not at all into March Madness but I like the prospect of seeing some warm weather shots from you. That Wonderlove shot is lovely. The blooms look so delicate.

  • Tamra - I love Bonsais!!! I just wish I could practice in the art. That photo is from the Bonsai section at my local botanical garden.

    Liz - Thx so much. I think the image is peaceful yet refreshing.

  • Tamra - A quick update: Thx to Connie Crancer at the Matthaei Botanical Garden, I now know that this particular specimen is about 78 yrs old, collected in the Keys in 1990 (which is recently illegal). Training began in 1992. The habit (twisted-ness) and the deadwood is typical of the species. And The deadwood and live wood are one plant.

  • Thanks for the info! I wanted to start a few redwoods myself, but turns out those are way more work than I'm willing to put in right now. And, I don't think I'm ready to start one myself yet anyway--might end up getting hooked (or incredibly frustrated) and lord knows I don't need that distraction right now.

    I have a few indoor trees that seem to be thriving--it's time to re-pot though.

    The place I got mine is www.bonsaiboy.com. They have some very reasonably-priced ones. The ones I got range in price from $24.95 to about $60. I'm sure it's never to early to submit your Christmas list to Suite Suzy! ;-) The one that you absolutely cannot kill is the Hawaiian Umbrella...
