  • I had my husband watch this before he left this morning--we both got a good guffaw.

You're scaring me though because we were wanting to do the black tie preview too at some point when it comes here. I honestly don't know now...

Hey, if you didn't know who AJ was--well...nothing you could do about it! LOL.

STILL laughing! And they said today, the third Monday in January is supposed to be the "most depressing day of the year"... Um, I don't think so.

  • The Chi preview might me a whole lot better from an attendee standpoint, so don't met me take you there.. As an attendee in Detroit, I was majorly disappointed as you know, but as a journalist, there I was busy & there was lost to see. I am still tripping that there was no damn food!

They are still talking about the event on the news but the one thing they are not telling people is that they need to bring they own snacks & BYOB

I read yesterday about today supposing to be the most depressing day of the year & just did not get it. Not really sure how they can sum that up legitimately from the other 364/365 (leap year) days.

I wonder if it is a conspiracy to deminish the MLK holiday???

That's what my husband said--his exact words with regards to most of what you reported were, "I hope people in Chicago have better sense than that."

Interesting on the MLK holiday conspiracy, hehe. All I know is, I'm already sick of hearing "I have a dream..." recitations and clips. THAT's depressing--actually, it's annoying.

What's NOT depressing or annoying is "A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches of MLK, Jr." King was so much more than "The Dream" speech, but we'd never know it otherwise if left up to the media... I didn't know he did an interview with Playboy back in 1965! It was a really interesting one too! It's said to be one of his best. The text is in the book, but Google it to see if it comes up.

    Gotta run. Toodles!
