Red is the Color
For the past week or so, my backyard has looked like Fred Sanford’s front yard, piled up with all sorts of patio furniture, a BBQ grill, plant pots etc because I was having my cedar deck & gazebo cleaned & weather protected.
Finally, yesterday the job was completed, which means before I head to New York this coming Sunday I have to get off my ass to put everything back where it goes. I am tired just thinking about it but I am looking forward to seeing my summer chill spot looking flawless.
As I was surveying the work today after work, I noticed that I had a burst of red & pink color going on around me in the gardens; so of course I had to take some snap shots (see below).
After I was done taking my photos, I went inside loaded my shots up in Photoshop & fell the fuck to sleep. 2 hours later I woke up abruptly to the ring of the doorbell (Suite Suzy ordered a pizza for dinner) & nearly dropped my laptop, which was still resting on my legs & hot as hell.

Great photographs, Byg! :) I thought that first one was a carnivorous monster full of blood before I realized it was just a red leaf.
(My aunt's a psychologist, but she was always very frustrated giving me a Rorshack test because I insisted that ALL of the inkspots looked like "ovaries." But I digress from whatever point I was trying to make.)
Please have a look at my article entitled Defining "Healthy Boundaries" for the AfroSpear.

When in doubt, "cut to commercial" right? In any case, have a good afternoon! :)

First off I busted out laughing at the Fred Sanford comment! Secondly, your pictures are amazing! What kind of camera do you use?

All, thanks for the big ups on my little skilz LOL.
I really enjoy taking snap shots & think that I may up my game & get a real camera inthe next week or so. I am thinking about getting the new Nikon D40 but having a hard time coming out of the 500+ dollars that it is going to cost me. Stay tuned for an update.
Paula D - Right now I am using a Casio EX-Z60. It takes some nice photos & it is really compact.

Byrdpark - I love Lantana & the way it smells. I cannot always find it here in MI but when I do I load up.
Hen & Chix are so cute & I love watching them spread.
When we moved to this house 5 years ago I wanted a pond sooo bad but then a little boy about 3 in my neighborhood died in his parents pond when no one was watching.
I have another trip scheduled in July to NYC & I will but Cloisters garden on my list of must do's
Lilies are my absolute favorite perennial & in about 3-4 weeks all of my Oriental lilies will be in full splendor.
I think if I lived in a warmer region, my stuff would be off the hook 365.
Peace,
