Overt (Commerical) Racism
What's wrong with this picture??? I found this on Youtube today & was pretty shocked by it. I also was tripped out by some of the comments left by other viewers. The message has 2 things going on IMHO 1) Black people can be made a fool of just to get a part. 2) Black/dark is not always nasty and you (whoever you is) 3) A white person or another Asian would not have scared the mother who happens to be a racist bitch. I don't think I missed anything; wait, is he supposed to be King Kong?
If this advertisement was shown in the UK or the States, there would have been hell to pay. What do you think?

Yet another instance of overt racism. Nothing like the black dude first playing a freakin' circus monkey to get the dang balloon, then having the mother grab the girl screaming, only to find out he was too stupid to stop himself after the first screaming mother. And folks say racism doesn't exist.

I just want to know what the hell that mess has to do with toothpaste. I must say I was a bit perplexed at the end when he laid down on the bristles. I was wondering what was going on. Then it popped up toothpaste. I think the Asian community abroad and here in America need to leave the stereotypes alone. It just amazes me how racist they are and how they believe the stigma put against African Americans just because the White man says so. Do they want to be White that bad?

We are global product, be it pre-packaged fear or funk. We can even be 'magical kneegroes' and heal white folks. We'se so versa-tile!

Hello Bygbaby, Happy New Year and greetings from the UK!
I agree that the ad is shocking. It also disheartens me that any black person would put themselves in an ad like this. No amount of £'s is going to have me acting like a monkey and fulfilling some idiot's sick marketing vision.
That said, I really enjoy reading your blog!

From a quick read of your blog you seem to be the racist one.
That's all. No need to respond. I know I'm right. :)
