The Ghetto Shit Jump Off

I pride myself with professionalism, patience & a great skill set but all of that, well at least 2 of the 3 were out the window after I got into a vicious verbal argument over something so stupid. After this argument was over and Jojo-9 left, I was so fucking mad I was on the verge of tears and not because I was in bitch mode.
I cannot go into detail but from this downhill experience, I learned a few things:
- Rush jobs are not a good thing to take on in all cases
- People will (especially my PEOPLE) try take advantage of your good will and intentions
- I am nobody’s bitch no matter how much they pay me to work for them
- I cannot please everybody with my work, no matter how hard I work on a design
- I need to modify my pricing scale to detract certain jobs that are out of area of interest (anything Ghetto or remotely Ghetto)
- If someone else refers another client to me, I will need to consider the source before jumping in (tacky, ghetto, janky, ignorant & guilty by association always applies)
- No matter how well I have I have done for myself, I can still go Westside Detroit on a … if provoked
- Talking to a mentor is a very good thing especially when they can talk you down & have you look at your actions
- My wife is always on my side even when the chips are stacked against me
- Screaming at the top of my lungs in the basement to release tension actually works
- My Ghetto, jump off on a nigga at a moments notice, wishing a nigga say or do sumthin' alter ego prefers to go by the name Jojo-9
- My shit does
stinkstank (sometimes)
This interaction that sent my week into a tailspin of personal disaster was finally worked out in a positive manner but took me a few days to totally get over. Being an entrepreneur is not all that it is cracked up to be when you have to try make people happy.
Cousin Dee, TaMato & I had dinner the other day & discussed the drama which parlez'd into a discussion on being an entrepreneur & trying to find an industry that involved not having to make people happy & we all came up empty handed.
Sorry for being so vague, but I think you can understand.
