Erin Gruwell Freedom Writers

I had the opportunity to see Erin Gruwell at a recent diversity conference @ the University of Michigan. Her story & the story of the children is very moving, inspiring, & powerful. After her speech was over, I then wanted to be a teacher myself. Stay tuned to an autobiographical movie chronicling the events that put her & her students in the national spotlight staring Hillary Swank & Ice Cube, for real!!!

She actually walked up to me before leaving the event & told me that she felt that we had a connection & I felt the same way. We had made eye contact several times, in a non-sex based way; I was moved by what she had to say. Maybe she was sizing me up for a part in the movie
